[Música] Vitek (Decapitated) R.I.P 1984-2007

Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka – our brother and dearest friend succumbed to head injuries sustained after a bad van accident while on tour in Russia. He was 23.One of the youngest and most promising drummers in the genre, together with Decapitated he has consistently released albums both crushing and invigorating in their musicianship.

Extremely talented – he has been involved in other side projects: Dies Irae, Panzer X.
He will be missed and can not be replaced.

The metal scene will be much sorrier with his passing…

-------

Mais um "grande" do mundo da música, que nos deixou.. O death metal ficou mais pobre.

[Música] Konkhra - new album "Nothing Is Sacred"

Há muito que não ouvia falar destes Konkhra, banda que me marcou bastante, espero que o seu regresso corra pelo melhor, já falta ouvirmos mais, dos grupos do verdadeiro death metal old-school.

Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA recently finished re-recording their long-awaited new album, "Nothing Is Sacred", after encountering technical difficulties which forced them to scrap some of the previously completed early tracks. Two songs from the CD — "Religion is a Whore" and "Hail to the King" — have been posted on the group's MySpace page.

KONKHRA vocalist/guitarist Anders Lundemark has issued the following update:

"'Doctrines of Death' is one of the extra new songs we decided to record. It's about three minutes of 240 bpm (beats per minute) blastbeat. Think 'Dominate' by MORBID ANGEL and you'll know what I mean. Mads is dominating these tempos for sure, and it's very refreshing and unbelievably fun to play KONKHRA songs in these tempos. The fastest we did in the past was about 220 bpm. We hope that fans of the fast new-school death metal will give our new shit a chance. We still do the chugga mid-tempos a lot too, but there are three-four songs that take a bow in the MORBID ANGEL, VADER, BEHEMOTH direction. Right now, we are tracking the bass. It's not too late, so we can finish the vocals too tonight, we hope. This week, we will wrap it all up..."

KONKHRA released its latest CD, "Reality Check", in May 2003 through Code666 Records. The album was recorded at guitarist/vocalist Anders Lundemark's own Starstruck Studio and was the group's first since their split with longtime label Diehard Music.

[Música] Deicide- New Album - "Till Death Do Us Part"

Legendary death metal outfit DEICIDE has begun work on its ninth studio album at Florida's Morrisound Studios. Entitled "Till Death Do Us Part" ,the follow-up to 2006's "The Stench of Redemption" promises to be DEICIDE's "most savage and aggressive [offering] to date," according to a press release. Drummer Steve Asheim has begun the process by laying down drum tracks on a set of songs that retain all the high-speed intensity of the last album, but throw in a few surprises along the way.

Commented Asheim: "The songs will have a very evil and chaotic nature to them and will include the extensive arrangements and riffage that made 'Stench...' so great. "There's no mistaking... it's DEICIDE. It feels like a cross between 'Stench...' and 'Legion', and is definitely the next logical step for DEICIDE."

Once the music is down, the final stage will be for Glen Benton to contribute his unique vocal approach, with recordings scheduled for completion as early as November. "Till Death Us Do Part" is expected to be released early 2008.

"We keep pushing what we do," concluded Asheim. "The guitars are even more sinister...the drums even more brutal. DEICIDE fans may be shocked at how fast this came around, but they're going to eat it up."
